Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
A second Thinkpad that experiences an X freeze when running the following command during cert testing: xset dpms force off to test monitor powersaving. The screen goes dark, then moving the mouse turns it back on. However at this point, Unity seems to be frozen completely. The mouse pointer moves but that is all that works. The only way to get back to a usable state was to restart X manually (I dropped to shell and killed X).
