I am also having the same problem. Software: Gentoo Linux x86, kernel 2.6.30-gentoo-r3, xorg-server 1.6.2-r1, libdrm 2.4.12, xf86-video-intel 2.7.99.01. Hardware: Packard Bell EasyNote BU45, Core 2 Duo T5200, Intel GMA950.
