nh2, Ok, I think I found the last part of this bug :). I've uploaded a new test package to ppa:utouch-team/unstable. Please install it after it has built.
As a side note, the ppa includes some new bits under development. If you do an upgrade of all packages it will upgrade libutouch-grail1 which has a bug that causes the cursor to lag.
