@Bryce Harrington: Followed your instruction as you can see after a dpkg update at boot time.
The system dragged me though a registration process in addition. You know, of course, that I'm just a retired QA type, but what was the purpose of doing that? I can see it added a lot of stuff to the bug list, but since I am already a registered user on launchpad, why did it drag me though all that? Is this a new security arrangement or did the system need this to drag out all the preceding stuff? I am attaching my terminal log in case that should be useful. To get here, I had to return to 10.10. ** Attachment added: "console log, text." https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer/+bug/751927/+attachment/1988534/+files/Didit -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/751927 Title: fglrx fails to come up and hangs the system _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
