Well, even with just one attached the log makes it pretty clear that -nvidia doesn't much like your monitor.
Hmm, by chance does it work properly when you boot into Classic Desktop (no effects)? Perhaps [ 26.834] (WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): The EDID read for display device CRT-0 is invalid: [ 26.834] (WW) NVIDIA(GPU-0): unrecognized EDID Header. I assume it makes no difference whether you're running Classic Desktop (no effects), vs. Unity? (Sometimes that makes a difference, but I'm guessing not in this case.) Not sure there's much we can do to help in this case, since the EDID handling code is internal to the proprietary driver. For a workaround you can try hand-crafting an xorg.conf either by providing horizontal and vertical sync rates and your preferred resolution, or by providing an edid override. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/725600 Title: nvidia EDID issue, wrong resolution selected _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
