Unfortunately due to the scope of the changes it really is impractical
to install all the required bits by hand. Testing karmic is really the
best way to do it and make sure you have the right kernel, xserver,
mesa, etc. etc. If you can sort out the installation problems and re-
test, then let us know. Alpha-3 will be out soon, so perhaps that will
resolve the install trouble.
