I'm seeing this too on Ubuntu Maverick 32-bit (kernel 2.6.35-27-generic- pae) on an Intel Core Duo quad core 3 GHz processor. Around 50% "[kernel scheduler] Load balancing tick" pretty much continously.
My apologies if this has already been explained somewhere, but exactly what is a "load balancing tick", and is it actually a problem to have a lot of them? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/524281 Title: Tens of wakes per second in "[kernel scheduler] Load balancing tick" on Core 2 Duo even with only 1 core enabled _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
