Hi, I've created a program called `xcursorclamp' which works around this
issue by automatically calculating which regions of the virtual screen
are invisible and creating undecorated windows that cover these regions.
Whenever the mouse cursor hits such a window, the program will clamp the
cursor to the nearest visible region. It will adjust automatically when
the invisible regions change as a result of the user changing the X
monitor configuration while the program was running.

Of course xcursorclamp is free software (GPLv3+), see
http://sourceforge.net/projects/xcursorclamp/
