*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 713640 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/713640
I have a similar--possibly the same--problem, worst with Firefox but also with other programs: Thunderbird, Rhythmbox, Chromium, Update- Manager. Whenever I open a new tab, do a task, or anything (scrolling just so happens to be a good way to trigger it as well) the CPU usage of the program and xorg (and any other processes connected to what I am doing) shoot way up above what they are normally at. This problem just started in the last half week, so I am inclined to believe that it is a regression from a recent update. If you think it might be the same bug I can post more information. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/713643 Title: High CPU usage by Xorg process when scrolling in firefox or adobe reader or in any other application _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
