Hi Bryce, Sorry for not responding to you earlier. Basically we're at the point where we don't know what the problem is. I'm fairly sure it's not something wrong with Mixxx, but the way we are using the Qt OpenGL API's seems to elicit a hard system crash for users of FGLRX. The proposed patch has shown some promising results, but we aren't sure that it doesn't trigger the issue for everyone affected.
Whether this means it's an FGLRX issue, a Qt issue, or somewhere else in the stack -- I'm not sure. I'd definitely appreciate any advice you might have on trying to pin this down to a specific area. Unfortunately I (or any other Mixxx devs) can't seem to reproduce this on the little ATI hardware we have.
