I've found the problem, it's like Gordon Jin (upstream) said, the problem it's with the virtual resolution when it's equal or higher than 2048.
I've tested every thing again in jaunty and Karmic alpha 2, but this time with a sum of resolutions shorter than 2048 (1024x768 + 800x600; 800x600 + 800x600; 1024x768 + 640x480) and I could play films and use the 3D effects of compiz. So, this bug is, more or less, a collateral effect of this bug https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21190 ** Bug watch added: freedesktop.org Bugzilla #21190 https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21190 -- [i945] TV-out don't work with intel 945GM and Compiz https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363783 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is the registrant for xf86-video-intel. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
