What seems to be going on here is that the video is being sent to your
(phantom) VGA port instead of LVDS.

Are you able to correct it by doing this?

In "Section "Device"" add the line:

      Option "monitor-LVDS" "VGA"

Then add the following new section:

      Section "Monitor"
            Identifier "VGA"
            Option "Ignore" "True" 
      EndSection

If that makes the issue go away, then we can request in a kernel quirk
for the bug.
