Same problem for me with "stellarium --safe-mode" in Konsole I submitted the problem in https://sourceforge.net/projects/stellarium/forums/forum/278769/topic/3959724/index/page/1 but it comes from the open source driver (which also makes the CPU working at 100% all the time), not from Stellarium
