Public bug reported: As in the summary I got several problems after installing fglrx drivers 8.620 from karmic repo and test my Radeon 4850. After rebooting the desktop shows correctly but:
* all windows haven't borders. * it is impossible to open more than one application at a time, it occupies all the desktop (panel included); hitting crtl+f1 pops kickoff but is useless with mouse or keyboard; krunner pops in front but quickly goes behind the application. ctrl+f3 and ctrl+f4 not work. I can close application only from File menu (if any, see System Settings) * all kde text fields aren't editable; gtk applications yes (firefox, openoffice). The only kde application whose search text field is editable is KPackageKit (?!). * if I switch in a terminal with ctrl+alt+f1 I can't login since in my user password there is a "@" and AltGr not works. I've switched back to xserver-xorg-video-radeon. I'm using last kernel, 2.6.31-1-generic, in karmic 64bit full upgraded. Some logs/file below.
