Binary package hint: xorg
X freezes and the screen is filled with stripes when I insert any of a
set of 4 pre-pressed cdrom of an on-line course edited by the UNDP
(United Nations Development Program).
However, I can access the cdrom from the console. Please note that *the
first file is reported to be larger than the cdrom capacity:*
$ sudo mount /dev/scd0 /cdrom
$ ls -l /media/cdrom0

As expected, I can read any file from the cd but "A1Express.eqx":
