To my mind, government using open source is just good business sense. As
you may know, the whitehouse.gov site is hosted on Drupal. Still, there
is no broad mandate that encourages agencies to consider open source
solutions. If you agree there should be such a mandate, I would suggest
you add your name to the petition.

Thanks for sharing this James it seems like an excellent opportunity to advocate for FOSS in Government. Many governments have saved untold amounts by deploying more FOSS.
