Howdy Peps! We haven't been all that active lately, or for that matter, at all. So with that said, we've got a few orders of business to cover!
*-- OLF 2012 --* on Friday I received an email from Beth Lynn Eicher, one of the organizers of OLF, asking if we would be interested in doing another UbuCon at the 2012 OLF. As well as helping them to promote & advertise both the 2012 OLF & UbuCon. I don't know what any of you thought or heard, but I had heard some pretty good things about how last years went, & frankly I thought it went pretty well! Before I responded, I wanted to make sure that I was not the only one to think that it was a good idea. So, what do you guys think?? *-- Ubuntu Ohio Wiki --* I think that we should try to update some of the information in the wiki. Primarily the ReLoCo page & the list of ReLoCo contacts. Last I had heard is that Mike is now in Dayton, so Mike if you're cool with it, can we move you into the Dayton ReLoCo contact position?? I will volunteer to be the interim Columbus ReLoCo contact as long as we can get somebody else to help out with the Ubuntu hours. Ideally, if we could try to find a more permanent Columbus ReLoCo contact that would be great too! Also, what do you guys think about adding a link to the contact's name which would be the persons email address which would help make us easier to contact. Also, adding the Ohio LoCo Council's email address as well as the name & email address of each of the 3 Ohio LoCo Council members. I see both of these little additions to being a small little effort in helping to make our LoCo more personable! *-- CDs --* After a bit of a fiasco, the 11.10 CD shipment has arrived, so if any of you are in need of some disks, let me know & we can try to figure out a way to get them to you. *-- Canonical's gift to Approved LoCo's --* The week after this years OLF the gift from Canonical arrived at my door step.
