I'm about to coordinate with the City of Apple Valley to see what it'd
take to rent out the conference center for some Ubuntu Hours for each
month and maybe see if I can get some local businesses, such as some
local computer shops, to maybe help with it or maybe even donate some
stuff to the effort, maybe turn it into some kind of convention for us
Ubuntu users so that we can teach and discuss all things Linux.
My recent job hunting efforts have put me back to square one since I've
been looking for new work after I recovered from shoulder surgery and
now that I've got a bit more time on my hands, why not make it productive?
I'm interested in perhaps making some custom t-shirts for it or
something to really get the interest going and then push for membership
into our LoCo group since it'd be awesome to see our numbers grow.
