Has anyone else had this issue with trying to run Unity 14.04 in VBox? I suppose
I *could* try running it in KVM and see if I get better results that way but I
don't want to go pushing my luck before asking around.

I'm writing a book on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and since 14.10 came out (I needed the newer LibreOffice for revisions with my publisher using Word), I've been running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS in VirtualBox with no problems at all. It should just work.

Due to the 3D acceleration requirements of Unity, though, you'll want to make sure that you have the guest extensions installed, preferably from VirtualBox and not the Additional Drivers dialog box.
