Hi everyone, The dates for the Ubuntu Global Jam this cycle have been finalized for February 6-8, see below.
I plan on hosting a QA Jam in San Francisco on the Sunday (the 8th), with a focus on doing QA on the Xubuntu ISO images and packages. I'll be contacting possible venues downtown over the next couple weeks to confirm we have some space. If anyone in the bay area wants to help, please let me know, these take a fair amount of work beyond securing the venue: making event announcements, organizing food, preparing ISOs on disks and USB sticks, making printouts and then transporting all the goodies to our venue. Want to run one in your region? After the discussion that's taken place on the list, we are finalizing the dates for the Ubuntu Global Jam to be from Friday, 6 February to Sunday, 8 February. During the Ubuntu Global Jam, teams get together to contribute to Ubuntu. This is before Feature Freeze, so you can give a hand with code, or you can maybe help improve documentation. Or maybe you want to do some design? It's all up to you! A global event has already been created on the LoCo Team Portal, so please make sure to register all your Ubuntu Global Jams by clicking the "Add Team Event" button here: http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/global/2967/ If you have any questions make sure to email the LoCo Council at loco-coun...@lists.ubuntu.com or reply to the list - we'll be glad to give a hand. -- José Antonio Rey -- loco-contacts mailing list loco-conta...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/loco-contacts -- Elizabeth Krumbach Joseph || Lyz || pleia2 -- Ubuntu-us-ca mailing list Ubuntu-us-ca@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-us-ca
