I log in daily, and update notifications definitely show up more frequently than weekly. When I get an update notification on the 12.04 box I run an `aptitude update` and often find one for the 14.04 as well. Today (which prompted the email) I've done some updates and once the update was run on the 14.04 box the red notification appeared; after applying the updates the notification on the 12.04 boxes cleared, whereas on the 14.04 one it is still there (I suspect that if I run another update it will clear). The other notification I don't get is the need to reboot, so perhaps the issue is with byobu (I am configured to show the reboot notification). I'm assuming there is a byobu update on the horizon because I put a fix in on Launcpad which looks to have been accepted (the motd wasn't showing up on login) and that hasn't filtered through as an update to Ubuntu yet. > -- You Make It, I'll Break It!
