On the subject heading +1 for copy.com, if like me you use the cmd
line not the GUI the fact it no longer plays nice with Unity is not a
big problem, but having said that if enough of us get together and
moan at copy.com then maybe it will be sorted and we can all enjoy it
equally ;¬)
I've posted a comment to them already. I've also asked them to consider
packaging an installer - I can't recommend it to folk unless they have
some technical expertise, and more and more folk are coming to Linux
expecting to use it the way they used to use Windows (Commandline -
what's that?).

Hi,
Very true when I first migrated from Window Vista, the command line
actually scared me ;¬) but after a short time (3 months or so) of using
Ubuntu (and trying other distros) I came to realise the power of the
command line and it stopped scaring me (although I still double check my
"sudo" commands!)
Like you say it would be very hard to recommend to newbies unless they
are using Xubuntu or Lubuntu (or of course Mint) Dropbox would be my
second choice, not so much storage but does play better with the GUI.
As with most things on Ubuntu (and Linux in general) the choice is
yours, go with what makes you feel good ;¬)
