Well 792 was the specific one for my old laptop with difficult ATI Radeon graphics. I'm not saying it's right for you. This is the table: http://pierre.baudu.in/other/grub.vga.modes.html Note they're only 4*3 aspect ratio; modern widescreens are unsupported by this method. That's why I suggested to pick the matching /vertical/ resolution - e.g. 792 is 1024*768 in 24-bit colour, so it's the right vertical res for a modern 1368*768 display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. There is a more modern method with grub_gfx_payload or something, but TBH, I've not bothered to use it - I put up with the momentary text display. -- Liam Proven * Profile: http://lproven.livejournal.com/profile Email: lpro...@cix.co.uk * GMail/G+/Twitter/Flickr/Facebook: lproven MSN: lpro...@hotmail.com * Skype/AIM/Yahoo/LinkedIn: liamproven Tel: +44 20-8685-0498 * Cell: +44 7939-087884 -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
