Liam - I had enabled the above yonks ago... but had given up on the "chorus music" at desktop arrival long before. I followed the info on your link and wow! That *was* a pleasant surprise to hear the desktop sound again, thank you. What had gone missing (& still is] though is the bongos on arrival at the login screen.
