Hi all,

I openly admit my contributions to the Ubuntu community are small & less
than I would wish [the occasional but of help, some guidance where
needed and local advocacy when I am around] - due in main to work
commitments and travelling nearly 1000 miles a week from site to site..
but I enjoy being community member.

Part of "community" is [to my mind] the need and ability to pass on
thanks and praise.

This weekend I had a major fail [well, major to me] - fortunately I was
on IRC at the time.
I didn't time the response - I'm not that way inclined - but wow! On
Ubuntu-UK IRC channel the problem was proved to me to be easily resolved
by 2 members and only took seconds so to do [I think one of the
responders was some bloke with a coded IRC nick - "popey" or something
like that, the other was penguin42].

May I take this time to say a big "thank you" - I give a little, they
give a lot - drinks owed somewhere I think! [or tea & cake if preferred]
