Could you please post the log of the error? Just copy paste what's in the terminal from the line where you run the command. If it is very long, please use a "pastebin" style site, and just post the link. What version of Ubuntu are you running? Please can you also post the results from these commands python --version skype --version python -c"import Skype4Py;print Skype4Py.__version__" Thanks Matt
