Hi, Thanks for the info, I tried Gedit, but I couldn't find a plugin that would enable connection to a remote and local site, similar to dreamweaver. I am not interested in the check in and out, just being able to set up multiple websites, each with a separate local (actually a different machine to the install program) backup and the remote server the website is hosted on. I am happy using dreamweaver in the windows VM. I'll explore the option of the other IDEs later, a bit busy to experiment now.
