Last week, while walking through the IT department at work, I spotted a laptop running Ubuntu (Unity). For one brief, wonderful moment I thought my employers were investigating a move to a linux based system. However it turned out that the laptop belonged to an engineer from one of the software companies that supply my workplace. The engineer told me that he runs the different versions of Windows that he needs for the various clients in virtual machines. He also said that Unity had got several admiring comments from the other IT professionals.
