thanks Colin, i was hoping not to need to turn on the screen to do that.  

I would imagine this would be useful where someone turns on a computer 
accedently and do not want to  turn on a high power and slow to load screen 
like a projector. 

Thanks for recomendation on not doing hard power off. I thought it only 
mattered after login.

I think i'll be able to file a bug by january some time. unless one of you kind 
people want to beat me to it. ;)
