I applied for the partner program a year or so back and got firmly told to go away and try the market place which wasn't even close to what I was after or described in my application. The market place is very much just somewhere to advertise to people who already have an interest in Ubuntu. The impression I got was that I was too small, as a one person company, to be worth bothering about. As a result, although I continue to use Ubuntu as well as Debian, I generally don't push the branding as I'm not in a position to feel comfortable claiming to be a Ubuntu reseller or support provider. I did get the feeling that by providing support rather than simply shifting boxes in quantity and reselling Canonical support I was to some extent stepping on their toes! Having seen the reference to the trademark license I may try that as getting me half way towards what I was looking for. -- Paul Tansom | Aptanet Ltd. | http://www.aptanet.com/ | 023 9238 0001 ====================================================================== Registered in England | Company No: 4905028 | Registered Office: Crawford House, Hambledon Road, Denmead, Waterlooville, Hants, PO7 6NU -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
