I look forward to a high profile publicity campaign for Ubuntu. Many peope I come across simply have never heard of it. Not a way for better credibility. I am very glad that the word libre is getting better coverage. The U3A groups I run are 'Libre Computing', but the emphasis is on Ubuntu. The use of the word Free has been too easily subverted by the competiton, and anyway, most Windows users think they are downloading free stuff all the time anyway. I would think that Libre includes such as Firefox, Thunderbird, Audacity, etc for Windows also, so I am quite surprised that UKUUG think they can create a Unix centric Libre brand.
