just to back up what Laura and Bea have already said, Ada Lovelace day, and the Ubuntu competition, is a positive global initiative to celebrate women involved in technology, and encourage others to participate. It isn't about dividing any community or coercing people into participating, it is about providing a positive environment where everyone feels their presence is welcome and their contribution is valued.
