is this possible, technically viable, its about ensuring people can easily find new and up to date material, if most of us are volunteers we may have an hour or so free to find, process and print something the easier you make it, the more chance people will be able to help. even better a .deb package and put the materials in that and place this in the repositories. installed to a local but everyone can read / write directory unwanted items can be easily deleted leaving the ones the end user wants to use on the hard disk.
