I have made some mistakes int he last computer I bought, I spoke to Acer yesterday, and found out that its highly probably, they wont be updating the graphics card, and they have no intentions to support Linux at all, just Windows...which is a little bit on the tunnel vision side, but hey, its their choice......I told him I had bought an Acer Aspire One with Linpus Linux Lite on it, and he said yep, that didnt last very long, which is why we wont be doing Linux..........and it working with Ubuntu 11.04 a fluke he says.....but its a tiny netbook, hard on the hands and eyes

A couple of months ago, somebody started a thread, and it turned into a few posts where urls were given to companies which sold either bare bones pc's or pc with Linux of some form or other on them......this problem of the back light doesnt look like as if its going to get fixed for this laptop, so I need a laptop that is going to take installing 11.04 and above......

I dont have a lot of money, so could somebody point me in the direction of a good barebones computer that I can install 11.04 on with few problems and can take any of the new updates in the future........I dont want to make that mistake again, and waste all that money.......that I dont have........I dont do games or huge lots of graphics, so it is just a pc or pc or laptop that works with 11.04 in a fast enough way.....that doesnt take hours to load a page....

Thank You

John
