This is Manufacturer:Device ID. I.e. 046d is Logitech. This is what you need for looking up details. Unfortunately, no manufacturer ever puts it on the box or on the device itself. You should see it if you run lsusb in a terminal.

Assuming 08af is the device identifier, that isn't there either...
