ditto, I'm sure linux complains. but, as ever, if you want a belt and braces approach... there is a little shell script that you can tie to a cron job (along with a good discussion of its use on LANS etc.) at http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/mac-osx-unix-get-an-alert-when-my-disk-is-full/

P.S., I've never had Disk Full (it is called keeping an eye on things), although I do recall running out of inodes many years ago on a UNIX server!
