Hello me again; I've slightly looked into this but not with full intensity just wanted to know if any of you had done it:
I got this new smartphone/minicomputer nokia n900 (just two days before the platform anouncement) and it's a pretty awesome piece of kit. One of the cool things of it is that it seems to be debian based and it's running evolution. What I found really cool is the address book: my contacts now have land line, mobilephone, skype contact, google talk, IM of facebook, skype and google, video contact of google, email addresses, postal address, nickname, ... you name it. All in the same place. I also get an indicator to know if they are online and if I click on one of the fields it just calls up the program it needs: I can call land lines via skype or normal phone, open an email to that person using evolution, ... you get the idea. Here is my question: How do I get to do that with my ubuntu netbook? if I do a vcard would evolution sync? Thanks for any comments. newbie note: when importing google or similar contacts: make sure to clean out the trash before importing contacts. I got 1200 contacts or so 90% of them I have no idea where I got them from. You can download an aplication that will do some merging but I've still got a long way to go before removing most of it.
