Possible reasons for this are: 1. The DVD is not in a bootable format. Please describe the process you used to create the edubuntu DVD. 2. Your computer is not set to boot automatically from DVD. The default boot sequence is set in the computer BIOS. You should enter the set-up options and change the boot sequence to put the DVD above the HDD. Alternatively, some computers have the facility to call up a list of all bootable devices that you can select the DVD from.
