Hi Gus It is good to be in touch with you, and thanks. It is a dual boot XP Ubuntu desktop, with XP running very slow.... The reinstall is a good idea, although importantly as always, there is some data (photograps) on the machine (maybe in Windows) so a reliable backup or data extraction would be important first. They are very active with travelling about so I expect they could easily transport to you by arrangement whatever.
