I am trying to install lucid on my desktop and can't manage to get the text mode installer on the alternate cd - am I missing something? The screen comes up with an out of range resolution on the annoying Intel chip, so need text mode (pretty sure the live cd worked ok, but I want to reuse the lvm on the box hence the alternate installer cd) I have tried the ubuntu and kubuntu cds so far without success.
