What media are you going to be using it for? I am currently running Boxee (www.boxee.tv) on a Lucid-based media centre. I use my either a wireless keyboard, my iPhone or my Android phone (last two both over wifi) to control it. I believe Boxee works fine with HD (my machine isn't up to it, so I cannot confirm or deny), and my wife uses the front end without problem.
