Thanks for the suggestions! The odd thing is, both worked, and when searching the "Software Centre" I found yet another one, too - "Remotedesktop". This enabled me to trace why they all worked but TSclient didn't. Apparently, at least in TSclient, you *need* to have the "connect to console" tickybox checked. If not, I think it tries to create a /new/ session on the server /as well as/ the console, & since my server isn't a Terminal Server, it only supports 1 session so this operation fails. Eventually. Now that I know this, I can use TSclient & have removed the others.
