True for the most part Gordon, but I always do seem to fall foul of 
show-stoppers in the development process. It looks like the bug I reported ages 
ago where you can't dist-upgrade or fresh install Karmic on Linux software RAID 
using an Nvidia SATA controller hasn't been looked at yet.

things like that get missed.

Been using it since the early alpha's here, no problems. we work really hard on 
making things not destroy your machine ;) might be a few UI bugs maybe, but it 
won't break your system. at any rate, grab a live cd/usb and try the live 
version just incase there are hardware problems
