I wrote asking for help with the sound card on a HP Pavilion pc. I
decided to install the beta version 9.10 and hey presto, the sound works
straight from the install and also this is the first time that the
printer (also HP) has worked from an install.

I think this is a superb distro and far superior to Windows XP.

However, trying to install the dvd codecs from the medibuntu site I have
caused a problem.
The error message is;

E: Malformed line 55 in source list /etc/apt/sources list(type)
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open0 failed, please report.

I have opened the terminal and tried to modify the line(55)which has an
unxplained {"} in a line of it's own.I am now unable to modify or
install any software. I can not reload the sources after deleting the
medibuntu packages list.

I am trying to avoid another clean install

Any help please !

John
