Hi all, I've recently decided to move out of London and as such I'm leaving my job. That means they're looking for a replacement Linux sysadmin. The company is beam.tv and I've copy/pasted the job ad below. If you want more information or wish to apply please contact either myself or t...@beam.tv
Sorry for spamming the mailing list but I figured it's sort of relevant as it's a linux job. Regards, Adam. Beam is looking for a Systems Administrator to join their busy Development team. Beam is a global TV delivery and digital asset management company distributing TV commercials to broadcasters in more than 60 countries. As Systems Administrator reporting to the Head of Development, you will provide support for the development team via everyday Linux systems administration as well as implementing systems projects. You will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance on BEAM infrastructure and servers, status monitoring, performance optimisation, managing upgrades, backups, patches and code releases. In addition you will look after first line PC technical support. The successful candidate must have experience of working with the following systems: Linux (Redhat preferred), Apache/php configuration, virtualisation and NAS/SAN technologies along with experience of liaising with 3^rd party suppliers. It would be beneficial to have experience of Oracle databases, Nagios, LDAP, subversion + trac/support management systems and Linux routing and IPtables. If you are interested in this position or know someone who is, please send your CV and cover letter by Friday 9^th October 2009. -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
