When you set up the GUI for UNISON you probably created a profile and specified 'Root 1' and 'Root 2' which are the two folders you want to syncronise. If I recall, one of your folders was on a file server of some description? Unison needs to be installed on both ends of a network connection for it to work, so that may be your problem.
