When she connects the phone to her PC does it come up as a removable drive at all or does she have to use the Nokia PC Suite software?
If it comes up as a drive letter in Windows then hopefully you should be able to use a Windows undelete program such as Freeundelete - http://www.officerecovery.com/freeundelete However if she has to use the Nokia PC Suite software then she may be out of luck. I know it's not much help now but she might want to consider in the future to get a memory card for her phone (I presume MicroSD) and save any photos on the card. That way if the worst does happen and she accidentally deletes any photos, or for instance if the phone dies then she could pop out the card and use it in a PC to get the photos back. Good luck anyway, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Rob -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
