I have searched and failed to find an answer to my problem, perhaps I am not asking the right question. On my desktop there is a folder containing some software called VueScan. To run the software I open the folder, find a blue square standing on a point and double click and away we go. What I would like to try is running the programme as root how do I do this, please?
