I'm sorry if I've missed something here, but why can't the scrambled screen be fixed ? He had an error message about a missing nvidia driver. All this windows talk of reinstalling. Granted it's quicker. I know there is an evil linux genius amongst you who can fix it. I'd do it myself but I'm only up to the evil bit so far!! What about taking the machine to a lug meeting ?
