If it is dual core that could explain why it was dwnloading the 64bit version.
I did see that about the forcing of the 32 bit install, but I didnt understand what it was talking about. :( It is useful information though for anybody else who has the same problem. When I first installed it, it worked perfectly, but then I found I had problems installing stuff. Not very good with change, I've just learned how to use it this way.
